Darcie-Nicole Wicknick
The founder of
“…Ask Darcie, which provides Music Business services to a diverse client
roster worldwide, and Co-Founder of the Boston Hip-Hop Alliance, Darcie’s
career started in child fashion modeling. She began classical vocal study at
age seven, developing into a coloratura soprano. She moved into study of R&B
and Gospel at fifteen.
Darcie has
worked in a myriad of live and session settings. She served as a Production
Assistant, Lyricist, Vocalist, and A&R Scout for Technical Knockout (Boston)
and as Administrator and Vocalist for I-POP Records. A graduate of Berklee
College of Music, she earned the Berklee Achievement Scholarship and the
Music Business Achievement Award from the school. She currently leads Velvet
Stylus, and sings back vocals for Weather Outpost 12 and Vertex recording
artist Nichelle. In addition to her work with MBADC, Darcie’s written
articles and album reviews for other publications.
