Update 3/05/2004 and new ways to help:
Since this interview, there was a sudden turn of events: the developers are attempting to
get approval for their redevelopment project, which would gut the Raymond Theatre and
convert it to apartments/retail or condos. Friends of the Raymond Theatre are requesting
the public send donations to help them take legal recourse to protect the Theatre. Or you
can show your support by attending the Raymond Theatre Design Review hearing on March 15,
2004 at the Pasadena Convention Center at 6:00PM.

(The Convention Center is located next to the Civic Auditorium, at the Southwest corner of
S. Euclid and E. Green Street. Room 211 is at the sidewalk level, just off the Euclid
Avenue entrance).
