WHAT DOES MEMBERSHIP IN A PERFORMANCE RIGHTS SOCIETY TRACK?
BMI and ASCAP track any performance of your song in clubs, on radio, on TV, in film, at
live concert venues, etc. (in publishing and licensing terms, this is called "public
performance" whether the music is live or not). Anywhere your song is publicly
performed, they track it.
